About the Director

Paul Hurst is an internationally known vocal coach, pianist, and harpist. He began his professional career on piano in the Los Angeles area. He became a church organist and took up the harp at age 19. Paul has extensive experience in musical theatre, appearing in more than 55 productions in the Bay Area and southern California where he has directed 15 shows and served as choral coach for many others. He has also conducted orchestras since he was 17. Paul has had students in the Bay Area and southern California for many years, and led a community chorus in Los Angeles.

Paul has toured extensively in the U.S., Europe, and Japan, and has produced seven CDs. He has also accompanied some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry in Las Vegas.
