Kathleen Cook - Foster City Community Chorus
Kathleen began her musical journey literally under the piano bench where she would nap as a small infant while her father played and taught piano lessons. She began her formal piano study at age 5 and began performing in church at the age of 10. She accompanied her school choir for the first time at the age of 12. Church music performance and choral accompanying have been a central part of Ms. Cook’s musical journey ever since.
Kathleen discovered the enchantments of the harp in the mid 1990s, and her journey expanded to include study of the pedal harp (along with piano, voice, and music theory) with Paul Hurst in 1997. Currently, Ms. Cook combines a career of piano teaching, piano and harp performing for church services and special events, and church choral accompanying. She has been part of the musical adventure of the Foster City Community Chorus since the winter 2009 season. Kathleen and her husband Ken, who sings with the chorus, live in Santa Cruz.
Karen Trydahl - Retired
Karen was with the PMAA family since our 1999 spring season. She retired after our spring 2010 season. Her inspiration remains in our hearts and we look forward to seeing her in our audience for years to come.
